Caroline Beattie
I have deep respect for those who seek therapy. Life is challenging, and we all do our best with the resources available to us. My approach is non-judgmental, warm, and curious, and I aim to create a safe space where you feel understood, supported, challenged, and empowered to manage better and thrive more. I strive to be straightforward and genuine, fostering a meaningful relationship from which growth and change can emerge.I am rooted in Attachment Theory but use a range of therapeutic theories, models and techniques to meet your unique needs with the struggles you face. Through collaborative exploration and supportive interventions, we will move toward building more secure and fulfilling connections with yourself, your life and the systems and people surrounding you.
It is very important to me to have a practice that is respectful and inclusive with respect to all of the ways that we as humans are different. All races, identities, sexualities, joys and struggles are welcome here. My practice is private and fully confidential.
Education, Qualifications & Experience

I hold a Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Winnipeg and I am a member of the Canadian Association for Marriage & Family Therapy. Prior to beginning my training and work as a therapist, I worked for many years within a feminist, non-profit community health clinic

which expanded my understanding of the systems we live within and the struggles many in our city face. I am also grateful to have had decades of a fulfilling career as a dance artist, choreographer and collaborator which informs my work with clients on a creative, somatic and improvisational level. My varied life experience brings a maturity and diversity of perspective to my work as a therapist.

About Me

The relationships in my life are my driving force. I am a mother of two, a partner in my marriage, and a person who cherishes family and friendships deeply, which of course, doesn’t mean it’s always easy. I am an adventurous soul, an open-minded thinker, a lover of lakes and forests, and a person who loves to talk deeply and laugh often. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have that would help you figure out if we are a good fit for your therapy needs.
