Caroline Beattie
Hi, I’m Olivia,
I come to this work with the belief that knowing yourself and having compassion for all parts of you is integral to building a meaningful life and having the confidence to be fully seen in the world.

Therapy has been a big part of my personal and professional journey as I have navigated different seasons of life and major transitions. With compassion and humor, I work with people to connect the dots and integrate early life experiences that continue to show up in the present. I am proudly part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and I have a special interest in working with my people. I connected with my queerness later in life and I know how scary and isolating it can feel, how out of depth you can feel as you explore different parts of your gender, sexuality, erotic and relational identity. I’m here to affirm these different intersections of your identity as you get to know yourself better.

I also live with a chronic illness and know how scary and confusing it can be to navigate a new path filled with uncertainty surrounding your health and your future. I’m here to create a safe container for you to express your grief, anger, sadness and to celebrate all your wins.

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, anti-racist and 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming. The primary modality I utilize in my work is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based trauma therapy which targets traumatic memories for reprocessing through bilateral stimulation. I’m also trained in Internal Family Systems and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy which I frequently integrate into my work. I will work with you to determine the best approach and meet you where you’re at on your therapeutic journey.

In my time away from therapy I enjoy leaning into my creativity by working on textile art, writing and signing in a choir. My cats are also a big part of my life and I love hearing about my clients' animals who are important members of our family.
