Play therapy services are designed to support children in expressing their feelings, resolving conflicts, and developing coping skills through the natural medium of play. Our trained therapists create a safe, nurturing environment where children can explore their emotions and experiences at their own pace.
Using a variety of therapeutic techniques, including creative play, sand tray, art, and storytelling, we help children communicate and process complex feelings that may be difficult to articulate. Play therapy is particularly effective for children facing challenges such as anxiety, trauma, behavioural issues, or adjustment difficulties.
Each session is tailored to meet the unique needs of the child, fostering a sense of trust and connection. Through play, children can engage in problem-solving, build self-esteem, and enhance their social skills, all while having fun in a supportive space.
We collaborate closely with parents and caregivers, providing insights and strategies to reinforce progress at home. Our goal is to support children to thrive emotionally and socially so they can have healthier relationships and continue growing into their own unique selves.
What to Expect: your therapist will consult with you to identify the presenting issue and who should attend the first session. The couple of sessions typically incorporate a conjoint session with the parent(s) and child, as well as individual meeting time with each. This helps your therapist gain an understanding of the issues and create a plan for therapy.
Session Length & Cost: The fees for sessions will be charged according to the fee schedule in the Our Rates page.
