Sonja holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Manitoba and is a Registered Social Worker. Her background includes work in child welfare, adoption and post-adoption services, and community-based care for diverse populations, including Holocaust survivors. These experiences have deepened her understanding of attachment, trauma, and resilience within relationships.
She integrates approaches such as Brainspotting, Somatic Attachment Therapy, and Circle of Security, drawing on her knowledge of attachment theory, ADHD, and learning differences like dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia.
Sonja’s practice is guided by respect, curiosity, and compassion. She meets clients where they are and supports them in reconnecting with their strengths and capacity for healing.
Outside of her practice, Sonja enjoys being in nature, camping, biking, road trips, long walks, and exploring alongside her children.
