I’m Julie (she/her), and I am Associate Therapist here at West End Therapy. I hold a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Winnipeg and have spent years working with individuals, couples, kids, and families from all kinds of backgrounds and life experiences. As both a relational and individual therapist, I work from a systemic lens, meaning I see each of us as shaped by the many systems and relationships we’re part of. Sometimes certain parts of our unique story no longer fit; I hope to help you uncover these parts with compassion and attunement, supporting you in navigating life transitions, relationships, conflict, and other challenges that come up along the way.
I deeply believe in the complexity of change—it can feel scary, exciting, uncomfortable, and relieving, sometimes all at once. My approach to therapy is client-centered and strength-based, viewing therapy as a space where we get to be curious about the hard stuff together while also noticing and celebrating the strengths that have helped you get this far. At the centre of my work is a belief that therapy can be a space for connection, compassion, and curiosity, helping you get to a place where you are living a life that feels meaningful and authentic. A safe therapeutic relationship is central to the process of therapy and I offer a no-cost, 15 minute phone consultation for you to ask questions and get a sense of if you think we’d be a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you!
I live in the west end of Winnipeg with my fur family and many house plants, and can often be found puttering around my yard, listening to a new podcast, or exploring the dogs parks of Winnipeg with my dog Piper.
