I’m Kristin, and I’m so grateful you found your way here. I’m a Registered Social Worker and a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy candidate. I welcome whatever brings you to the brave space of considering therapy.
At the foundation of my work is the belief that healing happens within trusted relationships, including that between a therapist and client. I aim to offer a safe harbour of compassionate therapeutic space grounded in collaboration, genuine curiosity, and care. I deeply believe that meaningful relationships matter.
I do not take a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Instead, I consider it an honour to walk alongside clients as they uncover the wisdom that exists within themselves—and between one another—which can sometimes be hard to access alone.
Using a systemic lens, I balance gentleness with challenge, invite both slowness and action, darkness and lightness and even humour and fun. I value creativity and play, while also holding spaciousness for grief, sadness, and reflection.
My work is grounded in being holistic, trauma-informed, decolonizing, accessible, and socially just. I am passionate about offering space to explore how our social locations shape identity, relationships, and experience—while always honouring your autonomy and choice in what feels most important to explore.
Alongside my academic training in both Marriage and Family Therapy and Social Work, I bring a history in the arts and theatre. This has shaped my love of storytelling—and perhaps even more importantly, story listening and sharing.
I have worked across healthcare, education, and non-profit sectors. My experience includes supporting:
Children, youth, adults, couples, and families
Youth and families involved in CFS care
Folks navigating medical systems and chronic illness
Newcomers
Parents
2SLGBTQ+ individuals
Individuals with diagnoses including ADHD, Autism, Bipolar Disorder, and BPD
Blended families and those navigating separation and divorce
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, families, and groups, across the lifespan—from children and pre-teens to seniors.
I am a cisgender settler woman, born and raised in Winnipeg, of English, Scottish, and Irish descent. I bring a privileged lived experience of chronic illness, including being the grateful guardian of a gifted heart.
Outside of the therapy room, I am part of a blended family that includes two Bernese Mountain Dogs whose loving welcome-home rituals are unmatched. I am also part of a close extended family spanning five generations of university-educated women, whose legacy I am proud to continue.
You’ll often find me practicing hot yoga (enthusiastically but with limited athleticism), searching for the perfect independent coffee shop with an ideal Americano or pistachio matcha, or heading out of the city to be by the water and feel my feet on the land
